The Origin of Monsters | Kristen McMenamy by Tim Walker for Love #7 Spring/Summer 2012
I love things that are unconventionally beautiful, and this empitomizes just that. The fashions here would be very sexy in another editorial, but with the haunting tone of the photos here, they are brought to a whole other dimension. The model has this gorgeous, strikingly melancholy look. And there are giant bugs. I would automatically love an editorial with gargantuan arachnids, but this has so much more to it that I find so alluring.
May the force be with you.

Very eerie yet very beautiful! X
ReplyDeletegirl, you crazy! i thought of you the other day, when the comedy show was making fun of new channels & the fake zombie apocalypse. that song always reminds me of that scene from "say anything" when john cusack holds up the boombox. in real life he wanted to play a song by fishbone, but cameron crowe, didn't think it worked.
ReplyDeletethese pics are a master piece soo gorgeous
ReplyDeletehaunting! i love

This editorial is awesome! And I'd probably take my giant spider to the pet shop and exchange for a giant butterfly, so it could fly me to school and to town and parties and stuff

Wow, this is such an interesting and unique photo editorial! Creepy and haunting, yet beautiful at the same time.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow. Some of this stuff is incredibly disturbing. But you're right - there's a certain beauty to it. I'm in love with the McQueen dress, but would never have thought to throw it into an editorial like this. I'm especially intrigued/disturbed by the moth in the corner photo.
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique blog. It's rare to find something that stands out like yours does.
Congrats.

Amazing photos, not quite sure I would want a giant pet spider though, but you have fun with that!
