They trampled my flowers... My begonias, my forget-me-nots... I'll never forget them!

I would welcome the dreary weather we've been having if only my wardrobe consisted of these charmingly cozy looks. This collection was showcased in, and obviously inspired by, Scotland. The show moved from hues of hardship to pale and angelic eveningwear. What struck me most about this collection was that it made me love everything that I thought I hated: tomboy style, argyle socks, white gowns, sweaters, and cold weather. Somehow the layers upon layers of tartans and knits were put together in a romantic way that I adored. Without the use of any bedtime story clichés, Karl Lagerfeld created something magical.

May the force be with you.

  3. I agree, everything looks so great together. There are a lot of preppy style pieces (which normally don't appeal to me either) but yet they're styled together in a rather punk-ish way. Love.

  6. This collection made me so delighted too...I loooooove those white gowns especially...definitely a different take from the typical white gown. And there's nothing better than a great Scottish/Tudor period vibe!!!

  10. I have to admit, this isn't one of my favourite Chanel collections lately, mainly because to me it isn't recognisable as Chanel... but I absolutely love the creativity and Elizabethan inspiration behind it. It's just so different!
